Pet of the Week - Gingy

gingy.short.jpg

Handsome Gingy was surrendered to the shelter by his previous owners on January 24th and has since transitioned into our adult cat room with ease. Gingy's previous family had originally rescued him off the street and they were able to provide us with important information to help him be adopted into the perfect loving home.

Besides his charming good looks and deep inquisitive eyes, Gingy has a wonderful record of getting along well with both male and female adults. However, Gingy is especially fond of other cats and while nervous at first loves to play with friendly dogs too!

Since Gingy was originally rescued from the streets his exact age is unknown, but our best guess would be between 3-5 years old. Gingy is one of many wonderful adult cats that currently call the Humane Society of Ventura County home while they await their forever families. Gingy would be a great addition to just about any home. If you are thinking of adopting a cat for the first time or adding a new furry member to your family than Gingy may just be the cat for you!

Cat adoptions will include the first FVRCP shot in the series, a leukemia test (if age allows), rabies vaccine, a medical exam good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, deworming, implanting an identification microchip (registration extra), spay or neuter surgery if necessary as well as a safety collar, ID tag, and a cardboard carrier.
