Pet of the Week - Princess Ruth

princess.ruth.jpg

Princess Ruth is one special cat. This beautiful 1.5 year old tabby was surrendered to the shelter back at the end of August along with two kittens who were nearly old enough to be weaned off their mother.

Just the day before, the shelter had received a very young kitten, Cleo, who was all alone. Cleo was placed with Princess Ruth and immediately she began caring for her and nursing her as though she were her own. The older kittens soon found homes and Princess Ruth continued to raise Cleo for the next 6 weeks.

A few weeks ago, Cleo also found a new home and now that Princess Ruth's job is done and she has been spayed, she is ready for a home of her own! This sweet cat currently lives in our adult cat room and seems to get along with everyone. She is very sweet and will be a very affectionate addition to a new home. We encourage anyone looking for a kind and docile cat to stop by for a visit!

Cat adoptions will include the first FVRCP shot in the series, a leukemia test (if age allows), rabies vaccine, a medical exam good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, deworming, implanting an identification microchip (registration extra), spay or neuter surgery if necessary as well as a safety collar, ID tag and a cardboard carrier.
