Pet of the Week - Luigi

Luigi is one awesome dog! Luigi, a 5 year old Pug mix, arrived at the shelter at the end of September and has been an absolute joy to have around. Luigi is what you would call a good sport, up for anything, and loves everyone.

We recently took Luigi to Ojai Day where he spent a few hours in a very crowded park and did great! Luigi has been kid tested and approved, walks great on a leash, and has a real knack at remaining cool and collected no matter what environment he is in. If you are thinking about adopting for the first time or wanting to add another pup to your pack, then Luigi just may be the guy for you!

Included with every dog adoption will be the first DHLPP shot of the series, a rabies vaccine, a medical exam good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip (registration extra), spay or neuter surgery if necessary as well as a collar, ID tag and a leash.

For dog adoptions, a yard check will be performed prior to adoption. In addition to adequate fencing and shelter, those wishing to adopt a pet must provide either proof of ownership of the residence or a rental agreement for that address indicating that pets are allowed.
