Pet of the Month - Shaggy

shaggy_copy_2.jpg

Shaggy is a darling male, black and tan Beagle and Welsh Corgi mix who loves to be around people! Shaggy is a little sweetheart who loves to have a good time and would make a great pal for someone looking for a dog who loves adventure but is also content just at home chilling with his people. Shaggy is ready to be your beach or hiking buddy and already knows an assortment of commands such as sit, speak, and lay down.

If you think Shaggy looks familiar, you probably recognize him from the last time he was here nearly 9 months ago. Shaggy was a staff and volunteer favorite with his peppy personality and we were all so excited when he found a home. Shaggy was returned when his previous owner could not keep up with the needs of having a dog. Though sad he was returned we are pleased that Shaggy has transitioned back to the shelter so nicely. He remembers all his old pals and is already making new friends in the play yards. Don't let this great catch pass you by! Come meet Shaggy today!

Included with every dog adoption will be the first DHLPP shot of the series, a rabies vaccine, a medical exam good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip (registration extra), spay or neuter surgery if necessary as well as a collar, ID tag and a leash.

For dog adoptions, a yard check will be performed prior to adoption. In addition to adequate fencing and shelter, those wishing to adopt a pet must provide either proof of ownership of the residence or a rental agreement for that address indicating that pets are allowed.
