The Humane Society of Ventura County is a compassionate care shelter and non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and adoption of animals in need throughout Ventura County.
Thank you Heather for stopping by the Humane Society of Ventura County recently to drop off a donation from the Topa Topa Elementary 5th grade leadership group. Several of the students were on hand for the donation as was HSVC office dog Maso.
The Humane Society of Ventura County was grateful to be the recipient of four pallets of donated dog food recently by the Wellness Natural Pet Food from a Southern California drive organized by Best Friends Animal Society. The food will be distributed to those in need including John who relies on donations to feed his two boxers.
After six months at the shelter, Bella has finally found her forever home!
Save the date! Our low-cost vaccination clinic will be reopening Thursday, May 21st by APPOINTMENT ONLY. We will be scheduling 15 minute appointments from 12 pm to 4 pm, with the last appointment at 3:45. Starting May 21st, we will resume hosting our vaccination clinic on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Please DO NOT come to the clinic without an appointment. If you arrive unannounced, our staff will ask you to return after you schedule an appointment.

Attention kitten foster parents! We need you! Before the Covid-19 shut-down, we had all the pieces in place to start this season's kitten foster program at HSVC. We had to put our dreams on hold during our shelter closure, but that didn’t stop the kittens!
The HSVC Spay/Neuter Clinic is once again open for business! To make up for lost time during kitten season, we are having a “First 50 Free + FVRCP” promotion for cats! Any healthy cat weighing over 2 pounds can make an appointment for FREE spay or neuter surgery and a FVRCP vaccine if needed. Litters of kittens are welcome! Please note our procedures and policies have changed due to social distancing protocols, including new curbside drop-off and pickup.
The Humane Society of Ventura County is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19. Adoptions are now being performed by appointment only. No animals will be available for viewing without an appointment.
