New Play Yards Benefit the Dogs of the HSVC

If you have visited the Humane Society of Ventura County in the last couple of days you may have noticed quite a bit of construction going on in our back dog yards. Due to the support and generosity of Ed and Debbie Guerra there are 3 new dog yards being installed!

Ed and Debbie have been working hard to raise money for three new dog yards that will not only give the dogs plenty of room to get exercise but also has a floored and covered section so that dogs can still get out even when the weather may not be fit for animals in our open yards. The new dog yards also take into consideration the animals, our staff, and volunteers safety. The sectioned flooring will make it impossible for dogs to dig under the fencing and the covered area will provide shade and protect them on hot sunny days. We look forward to keeping you updated on the dog yards as they finish the installation. Thank you to everyone who has donated to this project and aided in the construction of these much needed yards.
