A very special thank you to volunteer extraordinaire Nancy Talley! If you have adopted from us in the past few months you may have received one of these adorable portraits. Nancy has been painting these mini pet portraits of our shelter animals to be given to their new families as a keepsake. 

We know that bringing a new member into the family is a big deal. It can be very emotional and exciting for the animal, the animals new family, staff, and our volunteers who have bonded with them during their stay at the shelter. Here at the HSVC we strive to make this day a very happy and memorable experience so that families can look back on it fondly for years to come!

The generosity and compassion of volunteers such as Nancy, make celebrating an animals "Adoption Day" that much more special!
