Thank you to everyone who has made a donation to Mimi's medical fund. Since we first kicked off the campaign last week, our supporters have already raised nearly one thousand dollars towards her surgery and care! 

Yesterday, Kennel Manager Angela Hanline, took Mimi to her pre-surgery appointment with Dr. Campbell at VetSurg in Ventura. Mimi was a real trooper and her surgery has been scheduled or this coming Tuesday, August 7th. 

Mimi was originally signed over in the field to our Humane Officers to help her get the care she needs. When Mimi first arrived at the shelter she was very frightened and it was clear that she would require medical care on two visible lumps on her underside. Last week it was determined that the lumps were hernias and they would require extensive surgery to repair. Mimi's surgery will cost between $2681.25 and $3075.00. We have already raised nearly one third of this amount and are reaching out to to our supporters to help raise the rest!

We encourage anyone who would like to support the shelter by helping cover the cost of Mimi's medical care to make a donation to her fund.
