Local Girl Scouts Making A Difference!

Over the weekend we had a very special visit from Girl Scout Troop 60954 who stopped by to present this awesome donation to help the animals of the Humane Society of Ventura County. These young philanthropists worked hard selling Girl Scout cookies throughout the community to raise these much needed funds.

When they arrived we had a surprise for them too! Humane Educator Dawn Reily put together a presentation specially for them that focused on protecting animals both in the wild and domestically. After the presentation the girls were treated to a behind the scenes tour of the facility and got to meet many of the animals who temporarily call the HSVC home. What a wonderful opportunity for the troop to see where all their hard-earned money will go!

The Girl Scouts of Ventura County have been active supporters of the shelter for years. We are so fortunate to have these young caring and creative minds working so hard to do their part to improve the lives of animals in need!
