HSVC Celebrates Last Day of Summer Camp with The Canine Messenger & Kona Ice

It was a jam-packed last day of summer camp at the HSVC last Friday! Campers got the opportunity to learn about dog training from professional dog behaviorist Tracy Vail of The Canine Messenger. After the training session, campers and staff were treated to snowcones from our friends at Kona Ice. What a fun way to cap off an amazing summer of learning!

Campers spent the first half of the day interacting with our shelter animals and learning more about dog training and pet responsibility. Ellie (pictured above left/center) was a star student demonstrating her sitting and snuggle skills. She's still looking for her forever home, so stop by the shelter if you are interested in adding a friendly companion to your family!

The Kona Ice shaved ice truck was parked in front of the shelter waiting for campers to create their own custom-flavored snow cones. Staff were also invited to join in on the summer fun. Thank you to Tracy Vail and Kona Ice for making our last day of summer camp so special!
