The Humane Society of Ventura County announced last month that they will be once again offering to Ventura County residents FREE spay or neutering to Chihuahua and Chihuahua mixes!

The HSVC began its first free spay and neuter program for Chihuahua and Chihuahua mixes in August of 2012. To date the HSVC has spayed and neutered over 1,000 Chihuahuas in Ventura County through this program. 

If you or someone you know has a male or female Chihuahua 5 and under between 5-15 pounds you can get them altered at no charge to you. This offer is in addition to our FREE spay and neuter program for Pitbull and Pitbull mixes. That's right folks-both programs are now available to the public! 

The single most important thing that we can do to save cats and dogs from all the suffering that overpopulation causes is to spay and neuter them. If you or someone you know has a male or female Chihuahua 5 and under between 5-15 pounds you can get them altered at no charge to you. Please reserve your spots NOW as they will fill up fast!
