Violet, now named Sweet Pea, is a real sweetheart who came in as a stray in mid-November along with her puppy, Poppy. This mother and daughter were found wandering by the side of the road eating trash.

A kind-hearted lady who saw them scavenging for food picked them up and took them home.  Both were filthy and covered in fleas so she gave them baths and put Frontline on them. She couldn’t keep them so she brought them to the Humane Society so that we could find them new homes. We are happy to let you know that Violet was adopted on Friday and Poppy was just spayed so she is ready to go home too! We are very thankful that there are so many caring members in our community that help when they see an animal in need.
