Dear friends, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the support you showed us in 2017. Whether you have been part of our family for years or just joined us in the past few weeks, each of our achievements were made possible with your support. For 85 years the Humane Society of Ventura County has served our community with the goal of improving the lives of animals in need and in 2018, we are excited to bring even more people and animals together to enrich each other’s lives.

We never imagined the level of kindness and support that would be shown to us as a result of the Thomas Fire and know that many of you are receiving this note because you were moved to make a donation to support those animals and their families affected by this tragedy. We are honored to have your support and it warms our hearts to know there are so many animal lovers across the nation ready to assist when disaster strikes. As a private nonprofit we know how important it is to have the support of the community and hope that our story will inspire others nationwide to be a part of the animal welfare movement wherever they call home.

As the life blood of the Humane Society of Ventura County, our supporters have shown an unmatched level of commitment to our mission of: Promoting the health, safety, welfare, compassionate care and protection of all animals through education and community outreach programs. The support we received this past month, alone, shows us our community cares about the welfare and future of animals in need. We look forward to the coming year and all that it will bring with it and wish a safe, happy, and prosperous new year to you all.
