Enjoy Free ID tags this 4th of July!
With booming fireworks and crowded parties, the 4th of July can be a stressful time for our furry friends. Many pets can escape or get lost during the excitement of Independence Day festivities. To help prevent heartbreak this holiday, the HSVC is offering free ID tags for your furry friends now through July 8th! Stop by the shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, to get your pet a free ID tag any time during business hours Monday - Saturday between 10 am - 5 pm. Please note that the shelter will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th, in observance of the holiday.
With all the advancements in pet tracking technology, an ID tag is still the simplest and fastest way to help ensure you are reunited with a lost animal. Please make sure that ALL pets, including your indoor animals, have up-to-date identification that can be easily read. Start preparing today for the July 4th weekend and avoid any surprises on the big day!
The HSVC also offers microchipping services for only $25 (including registration). This is another way to help ensure your pets will be reunited with you in the event they escape and become lost this Independence Day.
