We have wonderful news! Shelter superstar Shadow was adopted last week! Shadow was brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County this past May after being rescued in the field by our Humane Officers. 

During his stay with us Shadow accompanied staff and volunteers on events around town as well as co-teaching a Basic Dog Training Class for our staff and volunteers alongside his rescuer Officer Vail.

With his good looks and charming personality Shadow became quite popular with everyone he met, but it wasn't until this past week that Shadow met his match. We are so grateful to Annie and her family for adopting Shadow, now fittingly named Bowie, and wish them all the best of luck!
