Last Thursday, February 11th was a day of celebration at the Humane Society of Ventura County when long term resident, Dandy, finally had his big day. Staff and volunteers gathered to watch and say their goodbyes as Dandy was loaded into a trailer to be off to his new forever home.

Thank you to everyone who participated in his rescue and donated to his fund over the last two years. Dandy was a large part of the HSVC family and his story made an impact on the whole county when his prior owner was formally charged with animal abuse last fall.
