Meet Xander, a 6-year-old boy who recently had spinal surgery, his 3rd surgery in his life so far. Turns out Xander is a HUGE Oliver Bird fan! After hearing this, Oliver Bird recruited some of his friends at the shelter to help him put together an HSVC care package to send sweet Xander while he recovers.

Ventura Avenue resident Kurt (pictured) recently brought in his adorable Pitbull, Devi, to be spayed for free. Our young furiends had so much fun during week two of Animal Adventure Camp! With nature exploration, animal interactions, crafts, and more, this week was nonstop fun at the HSVC!

Week one of HSVC's Animal Adventure Camp was a success! Campers aged 8-12 got to visit the shelter and learn all about nature, animals, and what we do at the HSVC. What a fun experience!
