Layla and Saffron Find Their Forever Home Together!

By Amy King

We have the best news to share this Valentine's Day! After over 300 days at the shelter, Layla and Saffron have found their forever home TOGETHER! We could not be more thankful to Kimberly and her daughter for opening their hearts and home to not one, but two kitties in need of a loving home! Besties Layla and Saffron came to the HSVC in mid-April of last year as part of a humane investigation. Shortly after arriving at the shelter they were diagnosed with Calicivirus, a common and nonfatal upper respiratory virus that often affects cats and kittens in shelters. While not contagious to humans, both Layla and Saffron got overlooked time and time again due to their illness. We could not be more grateful this bonded pair is finally getting their happily ever after together! Thank you, Kimberly and family, for making this the best Galentine's Day ever!
