We had so much fun celebrating our 91st birthday! The shelter was showered with love, support, and gifts from our community over the two days of festivities. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this our most exciting birthday bash yet!

We started off our weekend celebration with a bang! The shelter welcomed over 150 supporters and donors to our first time fundraiser event, BBQ & Brews. With local brews, delicious food, and live music, it was surely a night to remember!

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers and Animal Ambassadors who helped make our birthday weekend such a success. From bartending and handling animals to assisting with set up and breakdown at each event, these dedicated individuals made it happen! A special shoutout goes out to Animal Ambassador Carol Davis and volunteer Alyssa Torkelson, co-chairs of our birthday bash event committee, and to volunteer photographers Stephan Adams and John Chille for helping us capture the day!

The shelter continued the celebration with a free community event on Saturday, June 10th. Guests had the chance to tour the shelter and learn more about HSVC's programs and services directly from our staff!

Old Dawgs, New Tricks performed during Saturday's festivities and kept the party going all day with their covers of classic rock tunes. Attendees enjoyed free beer from Ojai Valley Brewery, pizza from Air Pizza, and free birthday cake from our friends at Walmart. 

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate our milestone birthday. We can't wait to paw-ty with you next year!
