Please join us in congratulating the honorees for this years 2018 Women of the Year Award! Last night, State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson and Assemblymember Monique Limón, honored women first responders from Ventura County for their bravery and service to the community during the Thomas Fire.

In total their were ten outstanding women and organizations that were recognized at the event, including our very own shelter Director Jolene Hoffman, who worked tirelessly to provide shelter and care to evacuee animals during the Thomas fire.

Last nights Award Ceremony was an inspiring and humbling experience. It was a great honor to hear the stories of those in our community who went above and beyond to provide assistance not only during the disaster, but still today as we continue to recover.

On behalf of all of us at the Humane Society of Ventura County we would like to thank all the honorees whose courage and skills strengthen our community on a daily basis and to State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson and Assemblymember Monique Limón for recognizing the hard work of these outstanding women!
